JVC TM-H1950CG Replacement Input Buttons

JVC TM-H1950CG Replacement Input Buttons

There are some excellent replacement button models out there, like the ones by Martin Hjenfelt (which work great), but I wanted to see if I could recreate the channel input buttons based more closely on the original JVC design since none exist.

I wasn’t sure how well they’d work as 3D prints, but after adding a few small reinforcements, they came out really well, fitting perfectly and functioning almost like the originals. Although a bit less 'clicky' than the original.

Printing them was the tricky part. The only way I got clean results was by printing at an angle and without supports (the picture shows the orientation I used).

These were printed in black PLA+. I haven’t tried translucent filament yet. The originals are translucent and light up when pressed, will have to experiment and check how well the LED can light can pass through 3d printing filament.

For the TM-H CG models, you’ll need four of these for the channel input buttons. The other controls (power, menu, volume, etc.) use a different design, and for now Martin's are best.
