3D Files for the Control Extenders Uploaded

I’m sharing the front control unit extender plate files so people can experiment with different fitments, material and colors.

Some customers have mentioned issues with the screw holes being slightly misaligned, making it difficult to screw in the side plate covers. In my own testing, I didn’t experience significant problems and confirmed my measurements against originals multiple times. Even after accounting for small tolerances introduced by 3D printing, I haven’t been able to replicate the issue. It was slightly tight or misaligned on some pieces I tested, but nothing that was too difficult or impossible to install.

That said, feel free to modify the design as needed, just please give credit to the original work and preferably to this site.

The extenders included with the kits were only half the actual size, as I found there was no need to print the entire part. I’ve included both the half and full models here, along with the STEP file to make modifications easier.

For reference, the original parts were scanned using a Creality Otter 3D scanner and reverse engineered in Fusion 360.
